EUROGIA+ is a EUREKA Cluster dedicated to safe &
clean technologies for an energy mix that can mitigate demand growth.
EUROGIA+ is to address all innovative energy
technologies that will:
- reduce the carbon footprint of energy production
and use,
- facilitate the migration to the hydrogen economy,
- develop
new technologies for energy such as solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, energy
efficiency, etc.

EUROGIA+ was introduced during the WATEC 2009 Conference in Tel
Aviv
- 24 to 27 September 2009: The Renewable energies & Energy efficiency Industries meet at
the 10th
RENEXPO in Augsburg Germany (near Münich).
- 06 & 07 July 2009: German EUREKA Presidency Launch Conference in Dresden. Do
not miss that event since EUROGIA+ is on Germany's list of

- 27 May 2009: Call 03 launch -
Information Day in France : presentations are available with Call
03's schedule and content. Rules of Participation are presented with details on
how the Cluster operates. A special presentation covers the financial support
rules in France. Of significance was the participation of the Hungarian
Embassy's Scientific Counsel.
A clear invitation to submit proposals NOW (at
latest by September 02nd) was expressed as support is available.

Background Information:
EUROGIA+ was approved in Ljubljana on June 6th
2008 during the EUREKA Ministerial Conference.
This new programme addresses
most of the energy mix challenges. It aims at promoting and supporting European
industry competitiveness in the Oil & Gas engineering, manufacturing,
supply and service industry as well as the renewable energies industries.
EUROGIA founding members joined up with 18 companies, 14 Research
Laboratories, 2 government agencies and 3 associations representing
another
6 countries (Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Norway and Spain) to propose
this new initiative and
promote collaborative projects that will involve
SMEs, specialised Research Institutes and University laboratories.
"EUROGIA+" EUREKA label has been supported by 15 countries:
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany,
Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Monaco, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and
Turkey.
This list is not limitative as other EUREKA Member
Countries may join later.
